In this situation the entire upper left side has missing teeth and a broken canine tooth with only a root remaining. Figures a. and f. show the pretreatment view of the smile and roof of the mouth.

In figure c., two artificial roots (i.e. the implants ) replace the lost teeth and the natural root of the canine is salvaged. Figure d. shows the implant supported abutments and the built canine preparation to support a cantilevered bridge and a single crown on the canine.
